Yard Change 7-26-24 « The Belmont Rooster
Hey all people! I hope this put up finds you successfully. I merely wished to place in writing a quick put up about how the yard is coming alongside.
I wrote this put up on Thursday evening and set the time to publish for Friday at 9 AM. Correctly, it didn’t work. Proper right here it is 10:40 PM and I am merely now checking… I saved it as a draft, so probably that’s the place I tousled… Any choices?
I decided to go ahead and make this a Six On Saturday put up…
#1) The Sweet Corn ‘Unimaginable’ is wanting good!
The pollination is coming alongside reasonably nicely and the honeybees are onerous at work accumulating pollen.
I seen one accumulating pollen, or trying to, the place it has collected the place the leaves come from the stalk… These flying throughout the tassels had their legs full. One was so heavy it was having a tricky time flying.
Among the many pollen is definitely packed…
OH, the carnage! Ineffective aphids have been everywhere on the 2nd planting… I bought a model new sprayer. Correctly, the Neem oil killed most of them as soon as I merely sprayed the tops of the stalks the day sooner than. I sprayed Sevin the next day from prime to bottom and beneath the leaves.
#2) The ‘Provider’ Bush Inexperienced Beans are nonetheless loaded with flowers on prime of the vegetation.
I picked spherical 3 gallons early Friday evening. My neighbor helped select them, so I gave him the complete bucket.
#3) The above {photograph} is a very powerful ‘Hale’s Best Jumbo’ Cantaloupe. NICE! Friday after the greens have been picked, I found A LOT of aphids on the cantaloupe, so I retaliated with Sevin. GEEZ!
#4) Considered one of many ‘Pink Duce’ Tomatoes is type of ripe. Considered one of many ‘Celeb’ is subsequent in line…
#5) I picked the first two ‘Black Zucchini’.

#6) I wanted to take {a photograph} of the Amaranthus cruenthus ‘Pink Spike’ on my method inside. It seems to get taller day-after-day.

Pretty neat with all these tiny flowers.
