Lovely greenery behind, darkish purple castor beans reaching above the deck railing as regular (what a tremendous annual!) so as to add extra shade to the scene. Loads to take a look at too (a helicopter flew over as I took this!)The tropicals space was significantly good this 12 months…

…a chilly entrance moved in. Not simply any chilly entrance both, this one was imply.
Temperatures dropped considerably, and I scrambled to get all the tender crops both dug up or moved into the storage. It stayed round for 5 days I believe, with temperatures beneath freezing that entire time. So unusual for mid-November!
(Issues weren’t as good out on the deck as they had been two weeks earlier.)The leaves hadn’t even completed falling when the arduous freeze hit (it acquired right down to 12ºF/-11ºC one evening)…
…so issues regarded unusual for a couple of days.
That is a pleasant combine of colours although. Thanks bamboo!Again to what I mentioned about digging and transferring crops inside. It is a huge process, particularly when it is crammed into one or two days.I am fairly happy with how properly organized I used to be at it this 12 months, tagging all the things that wanted it, and remembering each single pot. I did not lose something that I did not wish to.Not a factor forgotten!

I have not proven you the stream after its rebuilding but, primarily as a result of it wasn’t fairly completed — there are nonetheless rocks to position, and I am nonetheless unsure if I like the brand new design but.
I actually do not prefer it when it seems like this! (The pump was nonetheless working even after all the water had frozen. Drat.)So winter is unquestionably right here now.(The pump was high quality, amazingly)
