Greenhouse Teaching On-line ‘Topic Evaluation of Plant Illnesses’ | UF/IFAS
Topic Evaluation of Plant Illnesses is an intermediate-level course from the School of Florida’s Greenhouse Teaching On-line program that teaches the detection and evaluation of frequent greenhouse and nursery diseases, along with relevant and field-friendly scouting and sampling methods.
Topic Evaluation of Plant Illnesses is taught by Dr. Carrie Harmon, Director of the UF/IFAS Plant Diagnostic Center in Gainesville, FL, and Co-Director of the Nationwide Plant Diagnostic Neighborhood. This brand-new course expands on the earlier Sickness Administration course, which school college students described as “very dynamic, which makes it easy to know and apply to our day-to-day work throughout the greenhouse.” This course is part of the Plant Properly being Expert Certificates.
Course members will:
Be taught to determine plant diseases
Be taught to fully totally different between diseases and totally different plant points
Uncover methods to detect and diagnose frequent greenhouse and nursery diseases using scouting and sampling methods
Be taught topic methods to determine frequent pathogens
The course runs from Sept. 16 to Oct. 11, 2024. All course supplies is completely on-line and accessible at any time of the day.
